Consider declaring an emergency and approving a budget amendment to acknowledge additional expenditures for the Sheriff's Office.

Background

Due to a decrease in vacancies and the salary dollars shaved at the beginning of FY 15 we do not have adequate funding to cover the projected expenditures in the salary and retirement lines in the Sheriff's Office.
