Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving extension with Cigna Group Insurance of Fully Insured Basic Life and Voluntary Life Insurance and AD&D Voluntary Disability Program for county employees until December 31, 2015.

Background

This will be an extension of an additional 2 months beyond the end of the contract term as the term of the new policy has been changed to the calendar year (beginning January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016). The original contract will end on October 31, 2015 therefore this extension will ensure employee coverage for November and December 2015.
