Discuss, consider, and take any appropriate action regarding Public Services Funding Agreement for FY2016 with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) to support Williamson County court operations.

Background

The FY2016 budget added CASA as an organization funded with public interest funds. The organization provides services supporting court operations whether or not the county funds them, so this is not a traditional procurement. However, an agreement is recommended to protect the county's interest associated with the grant of funds (in the amount of $20,000 for FY 2016). The same agreement is used that is also used with Children’s Advocacy Center; however, the CASA agreement also adds a reporting requirement to brief commissioners on the organization's case levels twice a year.
