Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a contract with the Texas Department of Public Safety for two (2) full-time equivalents (FTEs) as forensic scientists.

Background

This is a renewal for the hiring of two forensic scientists to expedite turn around time on Williamson County cases. FY 15 cost was $112,565.52 and the new contract amount is $133,292.43 due to a COLA given to staff. Please note even though contract amounts are established, we are only billed for actual time worked. Billings in FY 15 were much less than the stipulated contract amount.
