Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action an a line item transfer for the County Judge's office.

Background

During the FY14/15 Budget Process additional part time monies budgeted in previous years (about $6,500) were cut as a cost savings measure. Monies were utilized in the past for coverage when staff was sick or on vacation, which is a hard total dollar amount to estimate since it was not tracked separately. The line item was going to be monitored and extra money available in 1100 would be transferred in as needed. This would also allow staff to track what was used to aid in future budgeting.
During FY15/16 the policy was adjusted to comply with the record keeping of single position budgeting to no longer allow transfers between salary line items. We need this transfer to finish out year end. It should not be an issue next year as we have put the additional monies back into part time funding, one part time employee is being converted to full time, and we have a better picture of the amount of additional monies needed and a way to track it.
