Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a request for the Parks Department to apply for a Local Parks Non-Urban Outdoor Recreation Grant for the Expo Center from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
Background
If awarded, the grant would augment the existing Expo facility by adding amenities such as RV sites, connecting trails, and perhaps a small playground structure. These amenities would greatly expand and enhance facility use possibilities, would increase revenue potential, and would encourage bookings for multiple day events.
