Hear County Auditor concerning invoices, bills, Quick Check Report, Wire Transfers and Electronic Payments submitted for payment and take appropriate action including, but not limited to approval for payment provided said items are found by the County Auditor to be legal obligations of the county.
  Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager Karen Knightstep addressed the Court.

Commissioner Birkman abstained in regards to payment of an invoice for Bagdad Road (Conflict of Interest Affidavit attached).

25. Discuss, consider and take any appropriate action related to FY2015 “off-duty” work under Tex. Occup. Code Sec. 1702.322 (exception to the private security work licensing requirement) conducted by county law enforcement on their own time. Necessary action may include, but is not limited to: 1) authorization of revising related policies; 2) setting September 30, 2014 as end date for any current payroll processing of “off-duty” work; 3) addressing usage of any county assets such as vehicles, uniforms, fuel, maintenance, and insurance; and 4) sending any needed additional notices regarding same.
