Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on extending RFP#13RFP00102, Landscape Maintenance for the same terms and conditions but with a price increase of 4.8% pursuant to the economic adjustment clause, as set forth in the RFP specifications, for the contract period beginning October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015.

Background

Red & White Greenery provided documentation indicating that their avarage rate of wage being paid is currently at $10.50 which is 6.5 % less than the Texas average wage of $11.16. This is the most recent data for Texas Hourly Mean Wage for Texas Industry Services for Landscaping and Grounds Keeping as provided by to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. According to this research bidding out this contract at this time may likely result in pricing higher than the 4.8% increase Red & White Greenery is proposing.
