Discuss and consider approving the Integrated Care Collaboration (ICC) participation agreement.

Background

The Integrated Care Collaboration (ICC) is a non-profit organization providing a secure electronic health information exchange (the ICare System). The ICC's mission is to support the appropriate and secure exchange of electronic health information and adoption of health information technology, to enable and improve quality of care, contain costs, and support the meaningful use of certified electronic health records.

ICC complies with all HIPAA, HITECH, and other federal, and state privacy and security laws and regulations related directly or indirectly to use or disclosure individually identifiable patient information.

WCEMS does not enroll patients into the ICC, but is a participant to share informaton.

The agreement has been reveiwed and approved, as to form, by the Williamson County Attorney's.
