Agenda Item
Consider license agreement between Williamson County and the Neighborhood Association of Southwestern Williamson County for neighborhood signage.
Background
When Williamson County made improvements to Anderson Mill Road over 10 years ago, they removed a neighborhood sign in the Neighborhood Association of Southwestern Williamson County. At the time the sign was removed, the previous commissioner hold told NASWC that they could replace the sign after construction was complete. Since this time the neighborhood association has come up with the money to replace the sign. This agreement simply gives them permission to install the sign.

Commissioner Birkman and Joe England have looked at the sight and are in agreement with the placement of the signage.

This is a license agreement between Williamson County and the Neighborhood Association of Southwestern Williamson County, (NASWC). Williamson County owns some public right-of-way located at the northeast intersection of Anderson Mill Road and Broadmeade Avenue and NASWC would like to construct, maintain and repair a sign on the property to reflect the name of the neighborhood. The sign will be placed parallel to and within three feet of an existing wall. NASWC will provide a schematic of the sign and face and sign location to Williamson County prior to installation. The sign shall remain the property of NASWC and shall be removed by the NASWC upon termination of the agreement. Williamson County will have no responsibility to maintain, operate, replace or repair the sign. If it is determined that the sign is a danger to the health and safety of the public, NASWC agrees to remove the sign within 10 days of receipt of notice to remove.

Williamson County nor its officers, agents and employees will be liable for any and all claims, losses, damages, causes of action, expenses of litigation, court costs, and attorney's fees, for injury to or death of any person, or damage to any property, arising out of or in connection with NASWC's exercise of the agreement.
