Commissioner Birkman abstained in regards to payment of an invoice for San Gabriel Parkway (Conflict of Interest Affidavit attached).

Commissioner Covey expressed her appreciation and thanks to all the men and women who fight for the freedom for everyone to come and speak their mind.

Commissioner Birkman expressed her appreciation to everyone who came to the Nathan Chapman Memorial ceremony on September 20, 2012, honoring four fallen servicemen: HM3 Brian K. Lundy, Jr., US Navy, SGT. Paul A. Rivera, US Army, SGT. Adam Cody Huckstep, US Army, and SPC. Alex Hernandez, III, US Army.
