Discuss and take appropriate action on extending Williamson County Bid 11WCA026 (Medical Supplies for Williamson County Jail) with the same pricing, terms and conditions for: Midwest Medical Supply Co., LLC, Prime Source Servics LLC, Bound Tree Medical LLC, McKesson Medical, and Progressive Medical International; and with a CPI increase of 2.7% that is allowed pursuant to the terms set forth in the bid for Emed Medical Company.

Background

This contract will be extended with the same terms and conditions as allowed in the bid specifications. Pricing will remain the same for all but one vendor (Emed Medical Company) who is requesting an increase that is tied to the CPI for March of 2012 (which was publicized as 2.7%). It is our recommendation to extend this contract as bidding out at this time may likely result in a price increase exceeding the 2.7% for this commodity.
