Discuss and take appropriate action on extending Williamson County Bid 12WCA045 (Asphalt Emulsion Prime) for the same pricing, terms and conditions with Cleveland Asphalt Products and with an allowable economic adjustment of 4% for Ergon Asphalt and Emulsions, Inc. This contract is for the period beginning October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013.

Background

This contract will be extended for the same pricing, terms and conditions as allowed per bid specification for Cleveland Asphalt Products and with a pricing increase requested by Ergon Asphalt and Emulsions, Inc. The price increase is presented with appropriate documentation to show price increases in raw material asphalt product from their supplier. It is our recommendation to extend these contracts as bidding out at this time may likely result in a price increase exceeding the 4% for this commodity.
It is the recommendation of the Facilities Department Director tht this contract be extended as stated.
