Discuss and take appropriate action regarding the retention of the law firm of Smith, Robertson, Elliott, Glen, Klein & Douglas, L.L.P. to represent Williamson County in connection with long-range water supply issues and associated regulatory matters; and exemption of those attorney services from the competitive bid/proposal requirements of the County Purchasing Act pursuant to the discretionary exemption for personal or professional services, as set forth under Section 262.024(a)(4) of the Texas Local Government Code.
