Discuss and take appropriate action on approving Assistant County Auditor Salaries per Local Government Code 111.074.

Background

These three staff positions were reviewed by Human Resource in FY 2011 and recommended for 10% increases to the District Judges for the FY 2012 fiscal year. The District Judges approved these increases in August 2011 for FY 2012. They were only funded for 5% during the budget process.

The District Judges met and reapproved the balance of the 5% on August 31, 2012 for the FY 2013 budget year.

First Assistant County Auditor currently a Grade 37 $103,236.38 approved for a Grade 38 $108,464.49 (5.06%)
Finance Director currently a Grade 34 $76,770.20 approved for a Grade 35 $80,668.99 (5.08%)
Assistant Finance Director currently a Grade 30 $61,498.84 approved for a Grade 31 $64,600.08 (5.04%)

The total including merit and fringe for these increases is $15,222.72

Again these requests are monies that were approved last year by District Judges in an effort to keep these positions at market per Human Resource review and recommendation.
