Consider awarding proposals received for Parks Landscape Maintenance to the best proposal meeting specifications, Heart of Texas Landscape & Irrigation. 
Background

Seven proposals were received. The Evaluation committee scored all proposals based upon the criteria as set forth in the RFP. A short list was created including the two highest scoring firms. Interviews were conducted with these firms. Based upon the final interviews, the Parks department is recommending the award to be made to Heart of Texas Landscape & Irrigation for the contract period beginning October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013.
