  Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager Donna Baker addressed the Court. Commissioner Birkman abstained in regard to payment of invoices to The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and to San Gabriel Parkway (Conflict of Interest Affidavits attached).

  Commissioner Birkman noted the death of Navy corpsman Brian Keith Lundy, Jr. in Afghanistan. Funeral services will be held in Round Rock on September 21, 2011.

Commissioner Covey displayed an American flag which was presented to the County by the Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Hood in appreciation of the County's support in the Adopt-a-Unit program.
