Discuss & consider approving a salary adjustment for the Court Reporter in County Court at Law Number 3

Background

Discuss and consider approving an increase in the salary of $7,936.46 for the Court Reporter to restore the Court Reporter's salary to the full salary commensurate with the salaries of $83, 571.90 for the other Court Reporters in County Courts at Law No. 1, 2 and 4. The current salary for the Court Reporter in Court 3 is $75,635.44 and the increase would bring the Court Reporter's salary to $83,571.90.

The financial effect is offset by a reduction in the pay of $8,695.97 for the Office Specialist position from $39,747.50
to $31,051.53 which was recently filled by a new hire. The overall reduction in annual salaries will be $759.51.

Once approved, the increase will take effect immediately.
