Consider an order declaring an emergency and a grave necessity due to unforeseeable circumstances and approve a budget amendment for the Jail:

Background

The costs associated with the transportation of inmates are higher than anticipated. The reimbursement received from TDC (Texas Department of Corrections) has a direct relationship with the jail travel expenditures. The revenue received has exceeded the budgeted amount.
