Discuss and take appropriate action on renewal of interlocal agreement with Bluebonnet Trails MHMR for crisis services.

Background

This is a continuation of the agreement with Bluebonnet Trails to provide crisis services as required in the $82 million Crisis Redesign Initiative for the 2008/2009 biennium. The State of Texas through the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) mandates services, including a crisis hotline and a mobile crisis outreach team. To avoid duplication of services, Bluebonnet Trails has contracted to use the existing County Mobile Outreach Team (MOT) for crisis services. In the agreement Bluebonnet will reimburse the County for the following items: Salaries - $62,656; Radio - $250/year; Uniforms - $240/year; Phone/pager - $1,000/year; Training - $828/year; and Printed Materials - $60/year. In addition, Bluebonnet will pay a fee for assessment and follow-up services at set rates, with the total agreement not to exceed $124,000/year.
