Discuss and consider approving the First Amendment to the Williamson County Indigent Care Affiliation Agreement with Round Rock Medical Center.

Background

This agreement has been in place for two years. I am attaching some background information for your review as to why the amendment is necessary. Basically Round Rock Medical Center is now a part of St. David's and the agreement will now be with St. David's. Previously the agreement acknowledged Round Rock Medical Center and the Georgetown Facility as two seperate entities. This agreement is used to allow for Upper Payment Limit Funding from the funds to come to the hospitals in lieu of payment for indigent services. The amendment has been reviewed by Hal Hawes of the County Attorney's office and the Contract Auditor in the County Auditor's Office.
