Discuss and consider approving proposed fee rates charged for services provided by the Constable offices, in accordance with LGC 118.131.

Background

In accordance with LGC 118.131, the Commissioner's Court of a county may set reasonable fees to be charged for services performed by the offices of the Constables. These fees must be set by October 1, 2008 and will be effective January 1, 2009. The current fee rates have been in place for several years. The proposed fee rates were calculated after a comparason study was conducted on counties in our area. The proposed fee rates for 2009 are attached.
