NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
WILLIAMSON COUNTY COMMISSIONER’S COURT
SEPTEMBER 25TH, 2007

 
             
 
The Commissioner’s Court of Williamson County, Texas will meet in special session in the Justice of the Peace, Pct. #3 Courtroom, 301 S.E. Inner Loop, in Georgetown, Texas to consider the following items:

 
 
1.   Citizen comments. Except when public hearings are scheduled for later in the meeting, this will be the only opportunity for citizen input. The Court invites comments on any matter affecting the county, whether on the Agenda or not. Speakers should limit their comments to two minutes. Note that the members of the Court may not comment at the meeting about matters that are not on the agenda.
 
 
2.   Read and approve the minutes of the last meeting.
 
 
3.   Hear County Auditor concerning invoices, bills, Quick Check Report, and Wire Transfers submitted for payment and take appropriate action including, but not limited to approval for payment provided said items are found by the County Auditor to be legal obligations of the county.
 
 
4.   Consider noting in minutes any off right-of-way work on any County road done by Road & Bridge Unified System.

The Consent Agenda includes non-controversial and routine items that the Court may act on with one single vote. The Judge or a Commissioner may pull any item from the consent agenda in order that the court discuss and act upon it individually as part of the Regular Agenda.

15.   Consider closing the northbound lanes on Liberty Walk from O’Connor Drive to Tonkinese Drive on October 13th, 2007 from 10:00AM until 7:30PM for the annual Hairy Man Festival and lending cones and barricades from URS. (In case of rain the event will be held on October 14th, 2007.)
 
16.   Discuss and take appropriate action on temporary closing of roads for the St. Phillip’s Annual 5K Resolution Run on January 1, 2008.
 
17.   Consider closing Irby Pass from Grovedale to Elkhorn Mountain on October 6th, 2007 from 3:00PM to 10:00PM for a block party and consider loaning barricades from URS.
 
18.   Consider authorizing the transfer of various items from multiple departments to auction/inter-office transfer/disposal. (Complete list filed with official minutes.)
 
19.   Approve and accept into the official minutes of the Commissioners Court “Minutes of County Finances Treasurer’s Report” for the month of August 2007.
 
  REGULAR AGENDA
 
20.   Consider approving a resolution to honor the Central Texas Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council for the week of September 23rd, 2007.
 
21.   Consider approving a resolution to honor Karen Wilson’s 20 years of service to the Williamson County Cities and Health District.
 
22.   Consider acknowledging Karen Wilson’s 10 years of service and contribution to the Williamson County Health Benefits Committee.

Consider adopting County Tax Rate.
 
24.   Discuss and take appropriate action on road bond program.
 
25.   Discuss and consider approving the amended plat of Farris Ranch, lots 2A and 3B. Pct. #3
 
26.   Consider a resolution determining the necessity and authorizing condemnation of certain property interests required for the Hwy. 79 construction project, and take other appropriate action ( K&L Company—parcel 34 ).
 
27.   Discuss and take appropriate action on courthouse restoration.
 
28.   Discuss and take appropriate action on various County parks and trails projects.
 
29.   Consider approving renewal of workers compensation insurance.
 
30.   Discuss and take appropriate action on the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of Austin and Williamson County for Management Services.
 
31.   Consider approving changes to Early Voting and Election Day Polling Locations for the upcoming Constitutional Amendment Election, November 6th, 2007.
