Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on budget line item transfer request for Juvenile Services.

Background

Juvenile Services is requesting a line of trasfer from Residential Services to Capital Outlay>$5000 to purchase risk assessment software. As part of this legistlative session, legistlation was passed requiring all juvenile probation departments to utilize a validated risk assesment tool. The current risk assessment tool provided by the state is not validated and does not meet the requirements of the legilslative mandate. In order to be in compliance with this new requirement, we have requested that the state fund this initiative and they have agreed to do so. They will be awarding the department an additional $48,133 in state aid for FY'15 that we intend to deposit into the residential services line item once received.
