Discuss and take appropriate action in authorizing the County Judge to sign the Cooperation Agreement between the City of Coupland and Williamson County, allowing the City of Coupland to join the Williamson County Community Development Block Grant Program.

Background

The City of Coupland requested to join the Williamson County CDBG program. Coupland's statistics (population, housing stock, age of housing stock, etc) will be included in the calculation used by HUD to determine the annual funding amount allocated to the County. Coupland will first be eligible to apply for CDBG funding in the FY15 funding process. Coupland will remain a participating city until the County is notified that the City no longer wants to participate in the program (process addressed in Section VI of Cooperation Agreement).
