Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a First Amended Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for County Facility (Fee Waiver Agreement) between Williamson County and the City of Georgetown.

Background

Pursuant to original agreement, the City agreed to waive up to $200,000 (the “Fee Waiver Amount”) in water and wastewater tap or connection fees, development application fees, and building permit fees (collectively referred to herein as the “Fees”) related to the County’s construction of a County Facility on the county's 95 acres that is located south of Blue Springs Road, Georgetown, Texas. If the county sells or transfers said property, the county may apply the Fee Waiver Amount to other county owned property within the city's corporate limits or ETJ upon proper notice. The original agreement was set to expire on December 17, 2016. This amendment extends the agreement's term to December 17, 2024 (an additional 10 years). The city's agreement to extend the original agreement is contingent upon the county approving a lease of the county's property that is located on Martin Luther King and 8th Street, Georgetown, Texas.
