Discuss and consider appointing election judges and alternate judges to serve a term of one year effective 9/1/13.

Background

The Williamson County Republican and Democratic Party Chairs have been working together to develop the plan for recommending and appointing the 2013 November election judges and alternate judges. They have determined that the judges shall be allocated in accordance with the ratio of the precinct results from the last Governor’s election: 46 Republican Judges and 14 Democratic Judges. Judges and Alternate Judges, as well as assignments to specific Vote Center locations, will be made jointly by the Democratic and Republican party chairs.

The attached document includes the Vote Center locations with the Judges and Alternate Judges as designated by the Williamson County Republican and Democratic Party Chairs. There are some vacancies. Contacts are being made. An updated list may be available prior to Commissioners' Court on August 26, 2013.
