To discuss and take appropriate action on increasing the County Clerk's Records Management Fee to $10 per HB1513.

Background

House Bill 1513 allows for the increase of both the Records Management Fee to $10 a maximum and the Archive Fee to a $10 maximum. The Archive Fund has suffienct money in it to sustain any more projects and salaries of 5 staff on an ongoing basis. The Records Management Fund is used for purchase of software licenses, computers and associated equipment as well as ten staff. It has seen a continual depletion in recent years due lack of revenue to keep up with the demand for more computer replacements and now a forced software conversion due to lack of support because of the age of the current software not to speak of the change from XP to Windows 7. This is needed.
