Discuss and consider approving a line item transfer for the County Sheriff
Background
To purchase 6 replacement bulletproof vests as required by the manufacturer.
Replacement vests are budgeted each year. Hiring to fill vacant positions as a result of turnover requires that a new vest be fitted and purchased for each new deputy. Funds for this contigency are not generally approved in each years' budget request.
