Discuss and consider allowing the County Judge to enter into an agreement with K. Friese & Associates to conduct a drainage study in the Forest North area.

Background

The Forest North area of Williamson County, near RR 620 and 183 has been plagued with drainage issues for many years. During tropical storm Hermine, many residents experienced flooding in their yards, garages and homes. Our Road and Bridge crews have been out in the area cleaning the drainage ditches and we have repaired the damage to the Lake Creek Channel that was caused by the storm. However, we need to have a major study done in the area to get suggestions for long term solutions. Commissioner Birkman, Bob Daigh, Joe England and Mary Clark interviewed 4 different engineering firms to conduct the study. We are recommending that we hire K. Friese & Associates to the study.
