Discuss and consider taking appropriate action on extending existing Road and Bridge Dept. annual contracts for FY 2012 for Concrete Box Culverts, Roadside Chemicals and Herbicides, Roadsigns and Markers, Concrete Ready Mix, Road Base Materials.

Background

The CPI for these commodities is currently at 3.5% and expected to rise. The department's recommendation is to extend these contracts for FY2012 as a re-bid would likely result in increased costs. In addition, current vendor performance is satisfactory.
