Consider and approve removal of the conference room in the Round Rock Annex, located at 211 Commerce Cove, Round Rock, from the list of approved rooms for rental by the public.

Background

Last year, the court designated the Conference Room at the older Round Rock Annex, located at 211 Commerce Cove, as a room available for rental by the public. However, it has never actually been rented by the public, and now that the new Jester Annex is open, it is likely that the public will prefer to rent the rooms in the Jester Annex. Additionally, in the coming weeks, we plan to do renovations to the Commerce Cove annex, which may necessitate usage of the conference room by the remaining departments located there, such as Adult Probation. Commissioner Birkman met with Mr. Bob Daigh and Mr. Gary Wilson, and the unanimous recommendation is to remove this room from the list of those available for public usage.
