Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a line item transfer request for the Tax Assessor Collector.

Background

Ashlie,

We know we are going to run into the same issue with postage that we experience at the end of FY14. We increased that line item from $120K to $130K, but there are several factors that have been and will continue to cause us to spend more postage than previously anticipated, including:
• Increase in # of new residents – every document needed to title a new resident vehicle in Texas must be shipped to San Antonio – several hundred dollars per month increase
• Increase in postage – this past January we saw the largest increase in postage than has been passed in the last decade
• Increase in # of new property – we are mailing more tax bills each year
• Increase in # of people renewing registrations online - # of registration stickers that we must mail out is increasing
