It is the recommendation to award this contract to Amercare as the primary vendor and Charm Tex as the secondary vendor. Of eight bids received, two did not submit an expected delivery time and one did not bid on all items. These facts reduced prospective bids to six. Although most bids were similar in pricing, two of the remaining vendors were higher than the other four, leaving a balance of four vendors for product consideration. Two of the four vendors sent samples which were unacceptable and appeared to result in a risk to the safety of inmates and/or personnel. |
