The Williamson County LEPC, through Emergency Management and Hazardous Materials, is applying for a HMEP grant to fund a Commodity Flow Study within Williamson County. This study will provide an in-depth report on the types and quantities of hazardous materials through Williamson County by way of roads, rail, or pipeline. This information will allow for a more comprehensive county threat/risk analysis, emergency planning, and responder training programs. Commodity flow study targeting hazardous materials has never been performed in Williamson County which is divided by IH-35, the primary route for cargo from Mexico to Canada.
