Consider an order declaring an emergency and a grave necessity due to unforeseeable circumstances and approve a budget amendment for EMS.

Background

At this time, Williamson County does not have an agency dedicated to providing child safety seat inspection and education to it's constituents. The State does have programs in place to provide this education to residents, but the resources and event dates are limited. We have partnered with Texans in Motion, Kids in Safety Seat Project, in order to facilitate a child safety seat program for the residents of Williamson County. We have been awarded the following funds to be used for the purchase of child safety seats to be distributed at education events held in Williamson County held for our constituents. Having seats available for distribution will allow us to replace in the event of recall, broken, damaged or outgrown allowing the child to leave safer than they arrived.
