Recognize Annie Burwell for receiving "Mental Health Worker of the Year" award at the 2010 Crisis International Crisis Intervention Conference in San Antonio.

Background

The purpose of the Crisis International Crisis Intervention Conference is to gather together law enforcement agencies to promote mental health awareness, provide skills training and to expand on the community-based collaborative policing program known as Crisis Intervention Training. Senators, County Commissioners, Judges, City Officials, Sheriffs and Police Chiefs looked on as dignitaries during the welcoming remarks. Over 1,300 participants from law enforcement, mental health, substance abuse and advocacy participated in the training and came from across every state in the USA, as well as many attending from foreign countries, including Austria, Australia, England, Canada, Pakistan, Germany and others.

Annie Burwell was selected by the International Crisis Intervention Board of Directors to receive the award for "Mental Health Worker of the Year" at this large gathering of mental health professionals.
