To discuss and consider confirming the appointment of Albert Herrera III as Deputy Constable Precinct Four

Background

Williamson County Precinct Four had a short vacancy for the position held by Deputy Darcy DeWayne Philpott. Deputy Philpott who left our employment to pursue a contract Instructor position with the U.S. Government training Navy Recruits at Lackland AFB in San Antonio. Deputy Philpott resigned his paid position and is remaining as a Reserve Constable for Precinct Four. This created the paid vacancy to be filed by Albert Herrera III. Mr. Herrera has been with Travis County Constable Precinct 2 (currently 7.8 years) Travis County Constable Precinct Four (6.1 yrs), and started with Elgin PD (1.6 yrs). Mr. Herrera has been a supervisor, and trainer and has many commendations with all three agencies in a total of 15.3 years of service. Mr. Herrera will be taking a position on the evening shift working civil process and warrants where he greatly excells.
