Discuss and take appropriate action on addendum to the contract with Bluebonnet Trails MHMR for crisis services provided by the Mobile Outreach Team.

Background

When the State of Texas allocated $82 million dollars in crisis redesign funding to local mental health authorities across the state, one of the requirements of the funding was to begin a Crisis Mobile Outreach Team. Since, Williamson County had a successful Mobile Outreach Team already in existence and to avoid duplication of services, Blulebonnet Trails MHMR contracted with the County to expand services with our existing team. This addendum will increase the hourly amount paid to the County for crisis services and allow billing for telephone crisis follow up service to avoid relapse. In addition Bluebonnet Trails will purchase six GPS navigation devices for the MOT and pay for a summer intern to help with administration duties. The summer intern will be through Bluebonnet Trails, and will not be an employee or contractor of the County. This addendum to the original approved contract will not cost the County anything, but will help further offset the cost of the MOT.
