Discuss and take appropriate action on participation by Williamson County under the county's habitat conservation plan for the project area for realignment of County Road 245 at its intersection with FM 2338. Authorize County Judge or designee to sign application, Determination Letter, and to execute Participation Agreement for this project and sign any related documents, as needed.

Background

Project is relocation of a portion of County Road 245 at its intersection with FM 2338 and approximately 1200 feet northward. The new intersection is 0.234 mile northwest of the existing intersection and will align as a 90° intersection opposite Gabriel Woods Drive which is the entrance to the Gabriel’s Grove residential development. A 90° intersection will improve safety by eliminating off-set roadways and better provide future siting for traffic control measures.

The project area includes removal of the surface component of the existing roadway which will be abandoned and also provides for relocation of an existing water line to align with the new roadway.
