Hear presentation from Populous, discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on the Conceptual Master Plan for the Williamson County Expo Center.

Background

The Commissioners Court approved funding to secure professional services from Populous to develop a Conceptual Master Plan for the Williamson County Expo Center. The Master Plan was developed through a planning process that gathered information and ideas from a variety of stakeholders throughout the County. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to Members of the Commissioners Court, Williamson County staff, staff from local municipal Parks & Recreation Departments, staff from Agrilife Extension and 4H members, City of Taylor, Williamson County Sherriff’s Posse, Williamson County Livestock Association, Taylor Rodeo Association, along with numerous equestrian and related special interest groups. The Master Plan helps identify redevelopment opportunities associated with existing facilities, and will be an important planning tool that will help define future opportunities for the County to facilitate further development of a County Expo Center that meets citizen desires and expectations.
