Consider approving the closing of Liberty Walk from O’Connor to Valona Loop from 8:30 am unitl 10:00 am on July 4th, 2012 for a parade and consider loaning 25 barricades and 8-10 detour signs from Road & Bridge.

Background

The Brushy Creek MUD would like to close Liberty Walk from O'Connor to Valona Loop for their annual 4th of July parade. The would like to close the road from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and would like to borrow 25 barricades and 8- 10 detour signs from Road and Bridge. They will put out door hangers on all the immediately adjacent homes as well as use other means of communication to get the word out. Joe England, EMS, Communications and the Sheriff's Office have all approved the closure and the Sam Bass Fire Department has also been notified. This road closure has been approved in years past. Attached is a map as well as the original request from the program director at the Brushy Creek MUD.
