The current job opening in Facilities was due to a retiring tenured employee. Position held was a Senior Maintenance Specialist. After much discussion with senior staff, director and senior director it was recognized that no staff member held an active professional electricians license. We propose that the position of Senior Maintenance Specialist be reclassified to Certified Journeymen Electrician.
Current Job description has been reviewed and a cost comparison against other similar agencies have all been performed by HR.
Old Position - Grade 20 Step 7
New Position - Grade 24
Grade 24 has a salary range per the following:
Min= $19.59 per hour
Mid= $23.61 per hour
Max=$28.42 per hour
