Judge Gattis commented that last Friday he went to the junior college in Killeen to a signing ceremony involving area cities and County Judges from surrounding counties.  He said the troops were very appreciative of Williamson County and area County Judges were envious of how well Williamson County works with other counties.

Commissioner Long commented that on Monday the City of Leander along with a number of churches had a deployment send off party for the troops and had a good turn out.

Commissioner Covey commented that several churches including First Baptist in Georgetown are having patriotic services.  She said they are planning on having a Kid Deployment Day so their children can come to Williamson County for fun and learning.

Commissioner Long commented that there was a CAMPO workshop last night and noted that every five years every non-profit organization has to update their 25 year plan. In previous plans all projects were put in the plan and were proved up fiscally later.  The new 20/35 plan will call for each of the projects to be proved up fiscally at the beginning.  She stated that this would require much more planning for Williamson County projects.
