Consider authorizing request to hold a duathlon on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Berry Springs Park and surrounding roadways.

Background

The Race Director, Richard Littrell of RunFAR Racing Services, has directed many successful events in Williamson County. The run part of the event is entirely within the county park and the Parks Department has been contacted and has reserved the park for the event. The bike portion of the event will be as follows: exiting the park and turning right onto CR 152; right into coned lane of Toll 130 service road; right into coned lane of I-35 service road; right turn onto CR 150; right turn onto CR 140; and right turn onto CR 152. Mike Gleason has been contacted and has approved the traffic control and safety features for the event.
