Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a line item transfer for the 395th District Court.

Background

The new district judge for the 395th is requesting money for a credenza, desk, chair and overhead hutch/storage. Currently there is a small table being used for the computer. The amount requested is in line with other furniture replacements for incoming judges. The email below is what was received from the 395th:

Ashlie,

Because of the age and condition of the furniture in Judge Larson’s office, we are requesting $6000 be added to our current budget to replace these items. I believe the existing furniture is original from when the building opened in 1989. There is a computer table that was added more recently (probably 10 years ago) but is not workable for Judge Larson. We would like to be able to replace these items now instead of having to wait for the new budget year so Judge Larson can get his office set up where he can work more efficiently and comfortably.

Let me know if there is anything further that I need to do regarding this request.
