Discuss and take appropriate action on a change in job status from temporary to full time for the Off-Site Adoption Counselor position in the Animal Services Department.

Background

The board approved the position in May 2014 on a trial basis using a temporary employee to determine if the position can collect enough in revenue to pay for itself. The temporary employee, Amy Dominquez, has done an outstanding job and is extremely dedicated in finding dogs new homes. 178 dogs have been adopted in this time period and the position broke even financially. The board discussed this in the May 28th (2015) board meeting and gave the go ahead to change the position from temporary to full time and the position would be entirely paid for through the donation fund at the shelter.
