Considering approving a Professional Services Agreement with Talex Incorporated for engineering and architectural services for the modification of the Williamson County Jail Facility and the exemption of those services from the competitive bid/proposal requirements of the County Purchasing Act pursuant to the discretionary exemption for personal or professional services as set forth under Section 262.024(a)(4) of the Texas Local Government Code.

Background

The County will use the design and specs from Talex to prepare a competitive bid to modify the plumbing, kitchen flooring and the HVAC design of the Williamson County Jail at a not to exceed amount of $214,390.
