Discuss and consider approving a line item transfer for Facilities

Background

We have two boilers at the jail that need constant repairs. One boiler needs to be replaced asap and the other will need to be replaced sooner than later. If we replace one, the cost is $49,650 and total replacement cost for two would be $75,200. Both boilers have been repaired multiple times to the tune of ~ $33K about two years ago. To repair these, yet again, would run the county $16,861. It is recommended we replace both boilers with a like product that we currently use at the Juvenile center which would, in turn, give the County an energy savings on the gas bill with a more efficient unit.
