Discuss and consider approving a line item transfer for Haz-Mat.

Background

During the FY 09/10 budget process, $6,900 was budgeted under line item 542-4999 for a car port or awning to house the Haz Mat trailer and truck. The original plan to house the truck and trailer at a new station in Leander has not been feasible, so Cedar Park has agreed to house the truck and trailer inside their bay. In order to provide this space to the County, we would need to house the County Grant Detection equipment currently stored in their bay in our trailer. Out of the $6,900 originally allocated, approximately $4,000 will be utilized to outfit the trailer to house the detection equipment and approximately $2,000 will be utilized to repair hail damage on the trailer and truck. This will result in approximately a $900 savings to the County.
